RESUMEN

The following analysis has been develped during an internship at the World Heritage Center of UNESCO by Michael Falser, an Austrian architect and art historian, in autumn 2001 under the supervision of Minja Yang and Junko Taniguchi.

Being a major task for the World Heritage Center, this analysis is a contribution to the "Global Strategy" - studies for a harmonisation of the World Heritage List and for the identification of under-represented categories.
